Plays (and apparently searches for) quicktime videos, audiobooks, podcasts, videos, etc. within iTunes. Metallic look is replaced with "Tigerish" grey. Seems very responsive when searching for any title.

New categories Music, Audiobooks, Podcasts, Videos, Booklets are arranged like search window in finder on mac 10.4. Pretty cool way to sort and organize materials.

Apparently allows for importing files in format other than AAC. For example can import WAV, MP3, AIFF, etc. Can't remember whether prior versions allowed.

Update included iTunes phone driver.

of course previous versions allowed importing in those formats. nothing new there.
