Not much of a major upgrade. not even a new icon.
And i hate the new look!
Christ apple, when are you gonna settle on something for OS X?
first aqua pinstripes, then brushed metal and now you seem intent on some kind of plastic look for applications. I look forward to some hack to give iTunes its metal interface back.
wich reminds me, why is there no skinning support in this version?

iTunes will never have skinning support - helmer
iTunes might not support skins but it sure doesn't stop developers like Sagefire from making them. Check out SmoothTunes for instance.Thursday, September 08 2005 @ 02:33 AM PDT

also... Apple changes things a lot interface-wise... because they are the Lords of industrial fashion... so they love to show off their great design.Wednesday, September 07 2005 @ 02:17 PM PDT
iTunes will never have skinning support - Rick Deckard
Apple will likely never add skinning support to iTunes for the same reason they don't have interface "themes" or an Appearance Manager like OS 9 did. Apple, or more precisely Steve Jobs, wants a consistent user experiecne for OS X. My guess is other Mac applications will be adopting the same look as iTunes 5.0 the next time they're updated.Reply to This
