Does anybody know why when playing any video with QT 7.0.1 in my new iMac G5 with OSX 10.4.2 the video slows down and it is almost impossible to watch? Playing the same videos in VLC is no problem. And for AVIs and so it's no problem because I would use VLC, but when using World of Warcraft for example, it use QT engine for playing the videos, and I get the problem. Does any body know a possible solution?
Thanks in advance.

YES.. I am having the same thing when I recently updated to Quicktime 7.4.1. During play it slows down..then starts skipping and replaying the same frames like a broken record.Wednesday, April 02 2008 @ 07:41 AM PDT

Divx has not been updated for the mac, and that is the most likely scenario. Some of my DIVX encoded contact also makes my mac grind to a halt. As soon as the updated comes out from DIVX it will go away.Just do a show movie properties on the slow move and you'll see that it it most likely divx.

Do you have CopyPaste installed? If so, try uninstalling it.Reply to This
