I must admit to trying Default Folder X out initially on a bit of a whim - it had got a good write-up in one of the Mac magazines and I thought I'd try it out. Now I hate using a machine where it isn't installed. This is a great utility that makes it possible to almost always be looking at exactly the right folder when you open a file dialog - in every single program. Priceless!
