Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

I can't believe that even to download and try out the software you have to register with Kodak. THEY want ME to use their software (ultimately to print photos and buy stuff) yet they make me jump through hoops to get it?

Forget that! I'll stick with iPhoto.

Registration just to TRY the software? - moldor

This is a common marketing ploy to get info from you so they can bombard you with crap. Two ways around it - enter garbage into each field (make up an email address, as they usually check for the validity of these) or if it asks you for your salary put "unemployed" - they'll never contact you

Alternatively, if you ever had an account with Ofoto, that was merged into Kodak some time ago, and your Ofoto login should work.

(I have never received any spam from Kodak, for the record, and I've been using EasyShare for years.)

What Kodak wants... - fuy

What they WANT is for you to use their online service. Whether you use iPhoto, EasyShare, or any other software doesn't really matter.
