Ah, found the problem. Went to the Intuit website and notice they do not have 10.4.2 to listed. I switched to a backup drive with 10.3.9 and was able to run R2 & R3 updates onto the 10.4.2 drive.
Intuit did have 10.4.1 listed, so it might work in Tiger as long as you do not have the latest upgrade
