Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

First off, CenterSage is an alpha release, with all that that implies. I tried this app and within the first 5 minutes of use, CenterStage locked up my PowerMac G5. I could not force quit the application.

Also, CenterStage requires BackStage as well to run to assemble your movie library. At this time only the movie function works. All others are not yet working.

When it was working, CenterStage will only playback .mov and .mpg files. I found the playback extremely jerky and halting. MPEG files playback strangely, with one file playing back at almost double speed. Although the release notes indicate that CenterStage will playback EyeTV recordings, I could not get it to do so, causing an application hang each time.

I would recommend passing on CenterStage until it's a more refined an functional application.
