Not bug free

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Contributed by: ktappe Thursday, August 25 2005 @ 10:45 AM PDT

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

After copying some mp3's correctly, PodWorks now copies files but with incorrect names. For example, the files will be copied to my Mac with names like "JQJW.mp3" and "BCRD.mp3" instead of their actual titles. So now I have to copy files one by one so that I know which is which when I have to go manaully rename them. Hope this bug can be fixed.
System Info:MacOS X 10.3.9, 3rd gen. iPod.

Not a bug. - Lord Naughty

I'm not sure that's a bug. I read that Apple changed the filenames of music loaded into iPods specifically to thwart programs like this. ID3 tags seem to survive, but the filenames do not. So if the song file has no ID3 tag... well, you get the picture. I'm sure it's annoying, but what can one do... complain to Apple?
