Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

1. By calling it an OS, you are automatically making people laugh at you. Do not call it an OS, because it is not one in any way. Call it a "suite" instead.
2. Change the title, because anything with your name in it (with the exception of the name "zapperdoodle") makes you sound like you either are a horrible self-promoter or else you're under the age of 14.
3. This is a Mac app. It should work like one. Just follow the friggin' interface standards!
4. I refuse to enter my email address into your program. Not doing so makes it crash. BAD.
5. It's not "UNIX compressed." It's a disk image. DMG is actually a bigger file size, too.

Tips for the dev - imac327

Very nice comment! You heart is filled with laughter and joy!

Unfortunately, I must correct you in some ways:

-RyanAndFriends is a name that covers many things and it wont be changed anytime soon.

-I tend not to follow interface standards. Quote "Bringing creativity back to software."

-You do not have to submit an email. You probably ran into an objectexception error of some sort. I havbe gotten a couple of reports on that. Opening the app after it crashes, you will find that the configuration is done and you can use RAFN OS normally.

-Yes, it is a DMG image, which is then UNIX compressed in .Z format. Your machine probably automatically unarchived it.

-As For The Name, it's always open for change...

Actually, it's a name that means precisely nothing, as does your description. "Many things"? Has it perhaps ever crossed your mind to give even the tiniest hint as to what these "things" are?

The one and only part of the name or description that is semantically significant at all, "operating system" is completely inaccurate. Your name actually contains negative information, and we are all more ignorant for having read it.

And I tend to not use software from people who make such absurd choices without even an attempt to explain or justify them. If you're going to do something so awful as to completely ignore interface standards, you should be prepared to offer some very strong explanation of your reasoning.

Do you also tend to not follow traffic laws, in order to bring creativity back to driving?

Exactly my point. Apple wrote up the interface guidelines for a reason, and that reason is so that (almost) all Mac apps will look/feel similar to make it easier on users, and to save them from "creative" developers who actually make things harder to use by rejecting the standard.
