wgscott - This is certainly the way to do the same using the Terminal. Our product is designed for those who do not want to open the Terminal to perform these functions.

Also, Spotless performs additional tests to determine whether or not the Metadata Server and the index policy of the volume are in sync. Again, this can be done with the Terminal but it takes a lot more investigation to resolve - if you know what you are looking for. All the while, indexing may be running when you want it to stop.

Power users can continue to use the Terminal to manage their computers. We do not want to stop them. We believe that $7.95 is a reasonable price to pay for those who want to do this the easy way.
