Bitcartel Support (Bitcartel): Hi Alex,

RadioLover is a completely new piece of software. Over time, AppleScript support will be added so users can integrate with other apps via scripting. The old StreamRipperX still works, and still exists, but RadioLover is superior in many ways.

I released SRX under the GPL so it will (always) be available at SourceForge.net. It's relation to SR the command-line tool, is that the original SR libraries were used in SRX.

Originally I planned to not change the name, but in the end I decided it was better to use the name RadioLover, and to distinguish between the two.

Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, just write to: support@bitcartel.com."

Nice Try - what about changing the name because the old app had a bad image??? I want to know if the free Version of this app had anything to do with spyware - and if not why id did connect via curl to an 3rd party (besides the apple Server) IP adress!
How can I trust your company again without knowing what went wrong some time ago.

Serious Question to the developer: - Bitcartel Support

There is absolutely NO spyware or adware in either RadioLover or StreamRipperX. The source code for StreamRipperX is available for people to look at. Meanwhile, RadioLover has an auto-version check to look for updates to the program and to inform the user if a new version is available for download. This can be turned off in the preferences. No personal information is sent at all. Hope this helps.
