Product Platform: MacOS,MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Recommend Product: NO

I just updated to a new iMac G5 which is running Tiger. I kept getting a weird message on start-up telling Norton Auto Protect Antivirus wasn't working, and to reinstall. I did, and it happened again.

I just called Symantec to find out why, and they told me that SystemWorks 3 is the last version they're doing of Mac software. They have put out a new compatible version of Norton Anti-Virus that is compatible, and as a small token, the guy told me I could get 5 percent off the price for having owned a previous Mac product.

This stinks! Does anyone have a suggestion for other good utilities/anti-virus that will support the Mac and future generations of OS X?

I am looking for the same thing. Obviously, SYMANTEC doesn't want our money nor they care for the growing Mac population. Any suggestions as to where to go for utilities (defrag/speed disk) and AV?
