One of the killer features of ms word for me is the ability to define keyboard shortcuts that always apply a certain style to a paragraph - Cmd-Alt-W for heading, Cmd-Alt-E for normal text, Cmd-Alt-S for a different kind of text. As a screenwriter, who never was quite happy with FinalDraft, nor with ms word, I wished this feature was possible, because with it, I would switch to pages. I hope one day Apple will incorporate this feature.

No keyboard shortcuts to apply certain paragraph styles - DChord568

This is #1 on my wishlist too. May I assume that this feature has not been incorporated in Pages 2.0? I see no mention of it anywhere.

Overall I like Pages, if for nothing else that it allows me to work with Word documents others have sent me rather in Word itself, which I hate with a blinding passion.

But there are some things that could make Pages better, and keyboard shortcuts for Styles would probably make me go for the new version, despite there being no upgrade path for previous users.

Without it, though....
