Existing users, 
This is a good program which stops me having to go into the energy saver preference pane to turn down my CPU when i switch to battery power on my powerbook.
However, if it were possible, putting it in the dock to eliminate the need to actually bring up another window would be a nice update

An easy way of keeping any application in the dock is:1. Launch the app you want to keep in the dock
2. After the app is launched, go to the dock, find the app's icon (on the extreme right), and either right click (if you have a multi-button mouse), or control (ctrl) click on the icon.
3. A small window will come up. In this window, you should see "Keep In Dock".
4. Click normally (= without the ctrl key) on "Keep In Dock".
5. The icon should now stay permanently in the dock. If you want to move the icon, (left) click *and hold* on the icon, and move it anywhere you want on the dock.

I think he means he wants to be able to change it from the dock. I'm pretty sure it would be possible to make an app that, when running, uses very small amounts of memory and virtually no CPU time, but you can right click it in the dock and change it from there. I would love a Widget that did this! Nearly as good as the dock but as a widget it would only use CPU when you bring up dashboard!I'd pay $5 for this widget!

But the energy saver panel will automatically speed up/slow down your processor for you whenever you plug in/unplug your powerbook... you can set the processor performance independently for each situation.Reply to This
