and the programme does install some files on your system without telling you anything about what and where they are. the good news is that the programme contains an "uninstall" feature - the bad news is that the programme has to be running to use it AND you have to trust the programmer.

Well if you "waist" your time with the trail, you can atleast see if the files you want recovered can be recovered.Wednesday, November 23 2005 @ 09:22 AM PST

We found that if users were able to recover their files for free, why would they spend the money to purchase the product? Most users don't need to undelete files every day. It's usally a one time thing. If they were allowed a trial period, they'd just recover the files they lost and we'd never make any money. The demo will show you what files can be recovered, allowing you to verify before purchasing the product. Sorry to hear you are unhappy with the functionality of the demo version. Should you have any other questions or issues, please contact us at Support@SubRosaSoft.comThursday, February 02 2006 @ 05:09 PM PST

wrong headed thinking! once i'm done sitting around waiting for a few hours, and i can see the list of my files, i want to be able to pay the shareware fee, without losing that list, and recover the files.
what i DON'T want is to sit through that long wait TWICE! i cannot ethically bill my customers twice for my time, so i lose hours of billable time. and you don't really seem to understand that, do you?

It's unfortunate you had a bad experience, but it's difficult to consider a critical evaluation if we don't know the basic specs of your computer. It took hours to scan a 20 GB drive (I assume you meant available free space)? I was able to scan 160 GB (250 GB Maxtor) in about 45 minutes with a dual 2 GHz PowerPC G5, and half as long to scan 40 GB on a PowerBook 1.5 GHz. I appears many other users experienced similar results. Also, read the comments posted by other users prior to downloading--I posted that users must purchase the program in order to recover files.Reply to This
