the latest versions (1.7) i've been having trouble with as well. i'm on a mac mini, and my roomie a powermac g5 - and we both have the same thing.

1) full screen settings don't stick. i get the size all nice, and the rotation speed the way i like, but next time around - gone. full size, full speed.

2) i get static/fuzz all over the screen until the current song clears out. this makes it especially difficult to set the settings for the next song, as i can't see the current one.

my rommates suffers from the same problems as well.
