Did something change?

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Hi, this is a great product, which I only use for converting files from RTF to LaTeX. However, recently I wanted to use it again in an Aplescript (not having used it for quite some time) and it turns out that Tex-edit in its latest incarnation fails to open my .rtf or .txt documents (they remain gray in the selector window). Did something change, must I change anything? I can drag and drop them on the Tex-edit+ icon, but that does not work with the Applescript.

Hello:

I just noticed this comment. You can certainly use a script to open an rtf or txt file. Depending on the state of your desktop bindings, non-TEP docs may not show up as selectable in the "Open" dialog unless you choose "Enable: All Documents" (from the popup menu).

Hope that helps. Please direct tech questions to tombb@aol.com so that I will see them and can answer directly to you.

Take care,
Tom

Will do next time! Many thanks, as I said it is a great product which has been sustained over manyyears, and the AppleScript support makes it stand out. Really wonderful!
