The battery status doesn't auto-update, and you need to quit and reopen the program to check the latest status. Also the developer's website doesn't give an e-mail address to point this commentary to, so if someone does know their address, please send it to them if they don't respond to my suggestion. One thing it gives which is real useful is the Cycle Count. Apple's

says how many cycles to expect from the notebook batteries before they can only be charged 80%. This means I can now monitor what is a cycle count, and make sure I don't over charge the battery.
