I woke up this morning, turned on the computer and booted Tiger as I normally do. To my surprise, the Spotlight logo looked different; like an icon resembling dog stool. On top of everything else, Spotlight's name has now changed to "El Crappo".
Aside from these strange events, Spotlight is running normally... it's slow, obtrusive and garnering incomplete results. So, obviously Spotlight is running just like it always has.
But...
Can someone please help me get the name and icon back to normal?
Here's a picture of the strange changes here:

You either downloaded a hack or virus or your attempting to pull the wool by making that fake icon. I think in this case it's the latter.Thursday, August 18 2005 @ 11:45 AM PDT

Hello, MicroBurst
You may be speaking too soon - it does depend on how much you use Stoplight. Keep using it to find things and one morning you may wake up to find exactly what Cowicide found. Keep an eye on that logo - Apple sometimes does things in mystifying ways.

Well, I for one am pleased to see a grievance aired with a sense of humor, rather than the usual half-baked, half-cocked, rude whining of which we see so much around here. Encore!Friday, September 09 2005 @ 10:43 PM PDT
A whitewash - Andreas..
I carefully examined your er… cowpat. Your installation is correct and STOPLIGHT is definitely working as intended. The glitch you are experiencing is purely cosmetic: return the logo to its correct color and all will be as it should be.
