Having bought as PSC 2410 in an Apple store, and been pleased with HP products in the past, I have been somewhat disappointed in the sketchy support and development of the Mac OS X drivers for this device.
<p>
This release of driver software comes with no documentation. However, it appears to do away with the All-in-One Director, and well as other dock-based features. Further, it appears to set up and function quite differently from the previous drivers, in that while looking at a Poweroint presentation, it doesn't allow me to select normal printer paper for a two up gray-scale printout. Instead, I get "photo paper" options. This may be "operator error," but how am I to know with no documentation?
<p>
An additional peculiarity is that HP has released two IDENTICALLY named driver disk images, both upwards of 90MB in size, but one for 10.2 and greater and the other for 10.1 and OS9. This is both confusing to the user, and, I expect, to their own support staff, who will, when helping a user, ask for the name, but also will have to ask the exact size, of the application in order to verify the correct driver distribution for a user.
<p>
Most peculiar....
