the actual open source app named as "Gimp.app" is on VT too at;
http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/22990

this info is for complied binary of MacGimp from www.macgimp.com which they are selling for $ and the version 2.2.6 doesn't even belong in this info page.
