Why would anyone want to pay for this?

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

1) Can only decode ac3 to stereo (even though doesn't mention it when selecting the option).
2) Can't demux VOB files which were joined from a couple of smaller ones by itself - getting about 20-30 small files of various kinds (mp2, m2v et cetera) when there should only be two tracks: one m2v and one ac3.
3) Too dumb to draw a real progress indicator - only draws a spinning gear, which means absolutely nothing. Often hangs while spinning it. If you can terminate the process of what it was doing - the spinning continues.

Overall, MPEG Streamclip does the same thing, but for free and at least shows a real progress indicator.

MPEG Streamclip is a differnet kind of application, progressbar will come and joining of mpegs is not the primary thing in this app but it can do this of course...

My understanding is that if a feature is added and advertised - it has to work. If it doesn't - what does it tell you? I pretty much feel like I have just thrown away 25 bucks, because it's not doing what it said it would. But then again, 25 bucks for a shell, which doesn't do anything other than executing GPL-licensed command line utilities? WeatherPop is an original work from the ground up - 8 bucks, NetNewsWire - $25, et cetera, that I can understand, but here? MPEG2 Works can't even determine a file type, for the chrissake! If you want to join a bunch of AC3 files, for example - it'll merge everything there is in the subdirectory: text files, video files, you name it! Could have at least asked for a filename extension... It doesn't look like a lot of thought went into this. Certainly not worth $25. For a freeware tool I wouldn't even mentioned any of this.

There is a support forum and support email for any kind of troubles user might have and rest assured that possible problem or missundrstanding of how the app work will be troubleshoot within a day...

Regarding the things my app do..It clearly states on MPEG2 Works web page that my app is a GUI for various freeware UNIX binaries and everyone who knows the ways with Terminal and knows the things regarding video should not purchase this app cause it is not for her/him since thhose can find ways to do it for free or to make an app similar to mine..I spent a LOT of time developing this and I think the price is just right but of course you mey dissagree with that...If you feel cheated in any way please ask the Kagi for refund and as soon as I get the request from them I'll be more then happy to approve it so you can get your money back...

Regarding ac3 joining...It looks clear enough for me that someone who wish to join number of ac3 files in one file should put all of them in one folder and then select that folder as input..I dont see the point to fill that folder with anything else except ac3 files which has to be joined...And you can read on the top of Open dialog as well as under pop-up button help that you should select the folder with ac3 files inside...Again you mey dissagree with above but if that is not clear enough for you or you think it should be made more understandable you should post that under forum or contact me via support email...

Regards,
SERBIAN
