I'm having plenty of problems with my EyeHome (latest firmware) and OS X 10.4.2 on my Power Mac G5, some times the EyeHome wont connect to the G5 at all, other times it will but wont mention new shows I've recorded on my EyeTV, or it'll just sit there and time out between screens dumping me back to the white NO SUCH IP screen.

The EyeHome is a great idea, but I really think El Gato need to take some time to release some new firmware.

Sounds like symptoms of a network problem. How is your EyeHome networked to your Mac?

I agree we're overdue for a firmware upgrade.

I've been using my EyeHome for over a year, and it fails with this upgrade so that means it is a network issue? YEAH SURE IT DOES! It is connected via cat5, it doesn't matter now anyway I just upgraded to OS X 10.4.3 and it doesn't work full stop anymore, finally this will force El Gato to upgrade this product, it has been a long time coming!

I was just trying to be helpful based on what you posted and wasn't assuming you'd been running it successfully before 10.4.2 since you didn't explicitly say so.

Sorry, I'm not always 100% attentive to such details on VT. :-)

Anyway, hopefully whatever Elgato does to get EyeHome cooperating with 10.4.3 will fix your problem, too.

Oh, have you tried Neuston's software with any 10.4.x release? I tinkered a bit with an older version on 10.3.x but without EyeTV support it was only for curiosity's sake. Maybe I'll give that another try now while waiting for Elgato to fix EyeHome software ...
