I bought this as an upgrade and mistakenly ordered the Windows version rather than the one I needed for the Mac. As soon as I discovered the mistake I tried to contact Symantec. I spent a frustrating hour going in circles on their website looking for a telephone number for the store. I sent an email to "customer service" and got an unhelpful automated reply. I was finally able to cancel the order. I get a refund in 5 to 7 days. I doubt that I'll buy the update. Companies that are afraid to give me a telephone number or a snail mail address are on my list of ones that I'm VERY reluctant to do business with.

I find getting in touch with them to be too daunting a task to see if I can get any rebate for upgrading my Anti-virus 9, which I was told by an Apple Care rep to disable because of difficulties I was having with the iChat av. I can now initiate single party iChat av's and participate in multi-party conferences ( not initiate them ). I upgraded my Westell router and modified firewall protections. The presence of the Norton Anti-virus may have had nothing to do with my iChat Tiger problems. But I found it impossible to ask Symantec about this issue, because there was not a readily available way to phone them for tech support and the online support was mpossible, to use in this case.Reply to This
