The same thing happened to me. I looked at it in the terminal, and I found that the application that appeared in the image had a hidden file extension of ".dmg". I removed the hidden extension, and everything worked just fine.

Happened to me too. the vCard Splitter Applescript inside of the disk image has a .dmg extension. View the file info, remove the .dmg extension, confirm to OS X that you want to do it and it'll revert to an Applescript and work fine.

i have changed the file name. Now I try to open it and get the error message "the operation could not be completed. an unexpected error occured (error code -10660).

open apple i
go to name&extension
remove extension
it should ask you to confirm
icon will change to apple script executable
