I hoped to find a Elements 3 replacement because Elements has some bugs in its user interface and is often slow (slow startup).

But PhotoRetouch DigiCam looks even older (what is it 1990 carbon?) It even asks two times for my admin password and comes with an installer. I hate this.

The app itself does not have anything that Elements does not have. It is less cluttered and faster.

Ahhh, but for many people it has 1 overriding feature - IT ACTUALLY INSTALLS !!

I've tried many times to install the demo of PSE3 and IT WILL NOT INSTALL !!

There are several threads on the Adobe forum relating to people who can't install the software, the software needing to be installed as ROOT, permission problems, etc.

And I will not buy software if I can't test it out.
