Renamer4Mac is so helpful in renaming all those darn digital camera files. Forget logging what all those numbers refer to...just rename them by subject. I haven't figured out how to renumber files...say I took 100 photos and I chose to keep 50 of them. I rename them by subject ("Hannah's Birthday") but I'd also like to renumber them ("Hannah's Birthday01...02...03" instead of 01...04...09 caused by me deleting pictures). I don't see that this is possible?

You can either delete the photos before you rename them, OR: after you edit the collection, you can add the new numbers at the end of the filename, and then remove the old number.

This type of renaming is a piece of cake! - sunseeker--2008

Greg,

Choose the 'Number' option from the first dropdown men just below the main window

Set 'Number Format' to '01, 02, 03, ...'

Type 1 in the 'Start With' field

For 'Text Format' choose 'Text - Number' from the dropdown menu

In the Text field type 'Hannah's 1st Birthday_'

Preview the results and click 'Rename Files'
