Wish I had a spare box that I could TEST OS 10.4 on... I finally got 10.3 stable again (10.3.9) and don't want to risk taking down my work flow to play. Maybe when things slow down a little. I want widgets!!!

Agree that 10.3.9 was actually pretty good, and that 10.4.0 broke a lot of stuff that'll probably take until 10.4.5 to get sorted out.You can, of course, have widgets in 10.3.9 already: try Amnesty.
