Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

Recommend Product: NO

I've been using Retrospect for over 10 years. What was once a brilliant product, is now coming unraveled. I'm not sure if I trust running Retrospect under Tiger. So far, I have had the spinning beachball of death when trying to check my drive's writing ability. I also get the spinning beachball when I try to send my online product registration! If they can't even get their registration app to work without crashing, then that destroys my faith in the product.

Why can't the corporate wankers just leave the developers alone to make great products? This is happening all over the place - we have a nice, classic product, and then some buyout or reorganization of the company takes place. The product is ruined, while we get bombarded with worse advertising and gimmicks.

END THE MADNESS! If you aren't interested in great software, DON'T TRY RUNNING A SOFTWARE COMPANY. Leave the developers alone.
