Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

This programme should warn the user with some kind of pop up "warning! warning! warning!" when you go into, for example, multi-session burning that it will not work unless you paid the shareware fee.

Actually $30US is not that bad. The author has a right to charge for those "extra" features but give the user a heads up when starting up the programme what will not work. Or on the other hand allow the "try" those features at least 5 times before you buy.

I am still recommending DiscBlaze because the programmer is updating the programme nearly every week. {What's that all about! }

Perhaps we need to change the licensing - BryanLAS

When we originally made DiscBlaze have a Free and Pro version we thought it would just be a nice thing to do. To give away a Free version of the app for those people who didn't really need (or want) to pay for a full featured burning application, but still could use having something a little more powerful than the Finder handy.

But it is becoming pretty clear that it is just not working out. Instead of making users happy that they can get something for free, people are tending to get angry or disapointed that they don't get all of the features for free. And, of course, we can't make all of it free, or we won't be able to afford to update the app any more.

So perhaps it is time to switch back to the old, tried and true, shareware model and have a 10-burn trial sort of deal.

At any rate, I do appreciate the feedback here. Expect a change soon that should make everything more clear and agreeable.
