The install splash screen says "Please note that this update only affects the DVD Playback Framework. You can check both your Framework and Application version numbers by selecting About DVD Player from the DVD Player menu."

So what does this mean...that the "App Version" number stays at 4.6 while the "Framework Version" goes to 4.6.1 when you select "About DVD Player?"

That's what I see after the install.
