As one of the many "expensive hobbyist" users since version 1.0: DP is a nice app but it ends up requiring a paid upgrade every 12-18 months either due to major feature upgrades or in my latest case the fact that it didn't work with Tiger - therefore - no DP for me anymore. Factor this in should you buy this software. Find Upgrade prices at MOTU.com.

But alas, when you want to upgrade the OS and then find out you need to spend another $149 on top of that for something you use a few times a month - not worth it.Friday, July 08 2005 @ 11:21 AM PDT

On the Motu website to use in tiger it says you should trash DP4.6 and then reinstall to use with tigerSunday, November 13 2005 @ 09:48 AM PST

That's the world of software and hardware: just a deep dark hole. One feeds the other: the hardware demands better and better software because most of the time sequencing software plays catchup.
If computer music is just a hobby and your happy with what you got then stick with that version.
