Used Product For: Less than a month

I have been testing CBP for some days an suddenly, it claims it cannot wirte the user preferences file. Naturaly, this prevents it from storing my settings. I cannot figure why, since the ~/Library/Preferences folder is perfectly writable for the proces owner. All other apps would have the same problem, anyway, if the folder wasnt writable.

Running: Tiger 10.4.1; PowerBook Alu.
