If you are looking for an application that will enhance your photos in a single click, and allow you to edit then for a low price, then go for PhotoRetouch Digicam 4. The "Auto-Reco" feture is simply amazing. Logical : until they released this app, Binuscan only sold software for pros, and you can really feel it.
Un fortunately, the licensing program is a "machine related" one, not a "user related" one. Which means : you can't install the program on your laptop AND on your desktop, even if you're the only person who uses the computers. In a time where companies like Microsoft, or even Quark, allow you to install on two machines if you're the only person to use them, that position is not to be defended...
What does this limit mean ? Simply put : if you register for your desktop, you can't print your photos when you're on holidays (I have a portable photo printer and I print a lot the same evening I shot the photos) ; if you register for your laptop, you can't take advantage of the bigger display or the more powerful desktop. But the most limitating fact is that, should you change your computer, you are forced to contact Binuscan to get a new serial number ; should you fail to do so, you won't be able to install on your brand new computer.
Binuscan has been contacted. They refuse to deliver a second serial number for the second computer. Reason invoked : the price has been calculated for one computer. So be it... But here's my question : is it better to sell a licence for 2 computer used by a single person, or to sell no license at all ?

Excellent, if it wasn't for the licensing program - HgWells1
This had seemed like the perfect time for me to finally buy this product - until hearing about this absurd licensing requirement! I hope they will quickly reconsider what they are doing! I want to get this, but will not risk the problems inherent in this licensing design.Reply to This
