So isn't this the same thing as the RSS feeder screensaver Tiger includes? Perhaps a different color but it's identical in its layout and process. Did Apple license this from these guys or are they blowing smoke for "customizing" the color of Apple's solution?

Its natural for you to be confused. The color is different yes.. but also so is the RSS feeds. Very different location. Tigers version is very limited and does not allow to add other feeds, this customizes it to our RSS feed, and adds our own colors.

Apple's RSS visualizer will use any RSS feed you want.

Add the RSS feed (the RSS feed, not the HTML page to which it is linked) as a bookmark in Safari. If you are running System Preferences, quit it and restart it. Your new feed will be added to the options in RSS Visualizer.

RSSaver may differ from Apple's only in a different color and a fixed set of feeds, but it's an attractive color and it's free. It's probably worth the trivial effort of downloading and installing. For a little variety, get a screen saver randomizer module and rotate between the two RSS feeds.

Only problem is, the download link is broken. :-(
