The PG installers for Mac are just awfull.

Must be a BillyGates installer.

Mac users are more sophisticated and want to control were the application files resides.

My MacOS X APPLICATION folder has sub Application folders, for example, MUSIC, VIDEO, SOUND, FINANCIAL etc.

I just hate an installer that will not allow me to select the folder I want the application to reside.

BB installer decidies to install.

Come on Mr P G we are Mac guys not BillyGates users that don't have a clue how to file manage.

Also BB12 for Mac is way way out of date to as compared to the windows version.

I've owned and used the programme for years although every update is a pain in the studio to install and a disappointment when compared to features of the PC version offers.

It's not just him. - grh-akl

Apple does the same thing. Try to update Aperture if it is not at the root level of the Applications folder or has been renamed (with version number in the name for example).

Adobe does it. (Try to move any component of Creative Suite and it will thereafter claim to be "damaged")

And, of course, Microsoft does it. (Try to remove "Microsoft" from the name "Microsoft Word" and it will thereafter not be found by updaters.)

This is one of the things that makes me really grumpy. I complain but no one listens. So don't just grump on the developer here. He's following the leaders.
