As a cloning piece of software I think this is a little on the pricey side - But then how much is piece of mind worth? - What you want with a backup solution is piece of mind first of all that it is going to work and work with out intervention or limited input from you. - Apps like retrospect are fully functional but to me overly so - I run several Retrospect servers and they all require massive monitoring and reconfiguration as your network changes - Backup Simplicity is just what its name states - Backup with simplicity - Simplicity being the refreshing surprise with this one - This is not just a clone app - It clones with it’s hands tied and rather fast and without fuss - The surprise it it’s other features - The backup facility is the simplicity of this app. It not only backs up your drive to a bootable state, it keeps it that way with daily updates without any intervention from you. You only have to have the computer turned on not even logged in and it will back up - The surprise feature of this app is the restore feature - You can restore a drive with one click - It keeps a history of every backup so you will only be your last backup away from a restored state - And for me the number one feature that has sold me on this cloning software that the others either lack or do badly except CCC is the ability to clone to a drive without erasing it first - This is a must for me as I often don’t want to erase the drive I am cloning to as it has data on it I want to keep - CCC dose this better than BS in my opinion but at least BS dose it - Al you have to do is move your files you wish to keep into a safe "excluded from backup" folder - Backup Simplicity is the very simply set and forget kind of backup solution I have been looking for for many years - It gets my financial contribution as this kind of peace of mind is worth the asking price for the simplicity of the backup - Might have been a different story though if the licensing model hadn't changed - I like most people like to own the software I pay for and not lease it - 2 years support and upgrades is reasonable but the president of the company could do himself a favor and send himself off to a customer relations course and learn about how the customer is always right. It’s time to update that 1980s customer service model Mr President.

A "piece" of mind? - Xeater

I think you mean "peace" of mind. "Peace" as in smoking a joint.
