Last year I tried to upgrade the firmware so that I could get it to work with iMovie. Yes they want you to pay for it which stinks, but even thought I was willing to pay for this I still could not get anyone from Formac to even resond to emails or anything as to how to get this upgrade. Bottom line, yes use Vidi it works fine, Formac really needs to get there act together regarding customer service. There isn't any.

There never has been any customer Service at Formac. You pay your money, and then NEVER EVER hear from them again. Regardless of how often you try to contact them. This has been their modus operandi for at least the last 4 years or more.Bill

I did the upgrade, they send you a new chip and everything works afterwards includng their own software. However, I now use the eyeTV product as the digital widescreen broadcasts are so much better.Reply to This
