Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

Recommend Product: YES

Initially had problems with Tiger not recognizing DVD player hardware on two systems. Turns out one has a hardware issue. The other was find after a clean install as opposed to an upgrade. I have to give it to Apple.. After clean installing all systems here with Tiger, there have been no stability issues at all, and everything seems to work as expected. Spotlight searches have given me much pleasure. It still needs a bit of improvement in the manner in which it presents files (and how sometimes overcomplex it is--too many steps--to go from a key word to bringing up the actual file in a Finder window as opposed to simply executing the file), but it is a definite step in the right direction. I predict that many refinements in the 10.4.x series of OS will remove any remaining gripes about Spotlight finess and widget issues.
