I have been using autohide for a year or two. I can't understand why apple does not just incorporate this feature into the finder. Like others have reported, I have also never been able to get version 1.3.8 working. I was still using version 1.3.6 but today it stopped working. I can probably get it working if I dick around with it and ditch the prefs but I would really like to find an alternative program that does the same thing.
Is there any other application that can do the same autohide feature? I know that Dragthing can do something similar but I would like to find an application that will auto hide when using Apple's dock to switch between apps. Who knows, maybe Dragthing can do this, I guess that I will need to give it a try and see.
AutoHide
Automatically hides apps after switch
Version: 1.3.8
Is there any other app that does this feature?

HideIt Control, shareware $10, works well on an Intel iMac. And, it is Universal. Also, ASM has hide others as one of its features.

It appears that Dragthing can do pretty much the same thing as Autohide. One thing Dragthing is missing is the "never hide when switching to" option which I find very useful.Reply to This
