Thought it might be cool but it's actually kind of ugly. More visual noise is more visual noise.

Eh? - ean

Well now, fade only--without the slide--will be very nice. Thank you. Consider a slight zoom effect or, better, a focusing effect. Think slightly blurry as a window starts to fade in, condensing into sharpness at full opacity. Just my tuppence.
