Rubish - gskibum

May I ask what is it about SilverFast that you find to be "Rubbish"?

May I also ask what software are you driving your Nikon scanner with that isn't rubbish?

I find SilverFast to be excellent software worth every penny. VueScan is fine for amateurs, but completely lacking for my production needs.

I would also like to add that Nikon's own software, NikonScan, is definitely rubbush. I used it for years because when I first bought my LS8000 SilverFast cost about $900 US. Far too much, so I made do with NikonScan. I tried VueScan, but that app is such s joke.

Then the price dropped for SilverFast and I bought it. I wish now that I had paid the higher price and been using it all along! It would have saved me hours of frustration, slow "Super Fine Scan" scan times with NikonScan, and I would have gotten even better results with less effort.

Please Damir1, elaborate on just what makes SilverFast "Rubbish"!
