Good CS but very slow development

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

I purchased OW a long time ago to help support the development of this browser. It has some very nice features that no other browser has. In addition, I've always had excellent response from the CS dept. about problems.

HOWEVER, it crashes many, many times a day. It won't render pages properly (or at all, sometimes!) that Safari and even...pardon me...IE render fine.

Omni has several good products that they continue to update and improve much faster than they do OmniWeb. This program continues to get poor reviews because Omni isn't developing it at the speed they should. Unless Omni makes a big change in their priorities and development, I believe that OmniWeb is a doomed product. There are just too many other web browsers for the same price or free that render pages better and faster.

C'mon, Omni, get the lead out! You have lots of paid users who believed in this product, and all we have to show for our support are constant crashes and a minor update every few months.

My suggestion for anyone looking for a new browser: Try out OmniWeb. You'll be impressed with lots of great features. Then write to Omni and tell them that you'll consider purchasing when the reviews climb back up to what they used to be. In other words, save your money until Omni gets off the pot.

Good CS but very slow development - reowen

You might try Flush Cache in the OmniWeb menu. I find that once in awhile OmniWeb gets very unstable, but doing this usually returns it to being reliable.

Still..even the resulting occasional crashes are frustrating and the achilles heel of an otherwise very impressive program.
