I commend EQ for making the software available, but I was really disappointed. I just didn't think this was that great of a game.

World of Warcraft is one of the best games ever made and it blows EQ out of the water. Blizzard's attention to detail (forgiving several bugs) is amazing.

So WoW, made 5 years after EQ, is better? Perhaps in some ways and I would certainly hope so.

I played WoW during the open beta, it was ok, but nothing special. It's pretty much a copy of Dark Age of Camelot dropped into the Warcraft world.
