I have used FaxSTF successfully since version 2. This new version (10.6) has an excellent anti-SPAM feature that actually works! All you need to do is to add any of your past spam faxes to the list. If the caller is able to be ID'd to the list, any future faxes from that number are terminated. They do not even make it into your inbox. Since I installed the software on the first day of it's release, I've had no spam faxes, when I had been getting at least 3 or 4 a day.

This is the only fax product I've used that works the way it's supposed to. It is indispensable to my work. I have found their tech support to be extremely responsive.

Excellent - really! - johnlove

I use OSX 10.4.1 with FaxSTF Pro 10.6 and very honestly its User Interface for fax software is without equal. Another very good fax application that I am aware of, Page Sender, falls a little short of FaxSTF in regard to the User Interface.

(1) Page Sender demands I select an addressee immediately, which I may not want to right away. FaxSTF allows me to save the fax in its Draft Folder automatically when it detects I don't have a fax number selected. I can put a fax on hold within Page Sender, but only after selecting at least one addressee from the beginning.

(2) After I select "Print" in any application, within the resulting Print Dialog I select "pagesender", the "Copies and Pages" option remains selected. Then changing this option to "pagesender" doesn't seem to change anything within this Print Dialog. Once I select "pagesender" as my Printer, should not the option below also read "pagesender"??

In general, FaxSTF seems to adhere to one step setup before you actually fax a document; whereas Page Sender seems to force a couple of steps before you are ready to fax.

Thanks for listening

Excellent - really!????? - SA Hunter

I don't know which planet you five star posters inhabit, but I used FAXstf ( and Pro) since it first arrived on the scene... It has NEVER worked properly EVER...Mac OS 9 and X, NEVER EVER WORKED!!! I think this post and follow up reply are bogus and written by stooges. Smith Micro have got to have one of the worst reputations in the Mac arena... Toss up between Quark and Smith Micro... Quark have promised to get their act together, but Smith???? Forget it... Use OSX's built in fax features or ANY other software. You have been warned.
