Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

Recommend Product: NO

Why download to an earlier version? Get Norton for Tiger and forget the hassle? Moreover why purchase dot Mac for the Virex when it is useless for a new computer with Tiger? .... As an attorney, I smell class action suit here!

Why download to Virex 7.2.1 if you have Tiger? Because it works. You aren't purchasing Virex when you buy a .Mac membership. Virex is a free benefit of the membership. There is no basis for a class action lawsuit since a working Virex is available for Tiger users.

did you see the latest edited by monitor on .mac discussions on the virex issue. The comment by the lawyer here should be taken seriously as .mac appears to be trying to supress it's issues with mac os x and virex

If you were an attorney, you'd know better than to go on about class action suits anymore.

As for NAV(Norton Anti-Virus), it's a steaming pile of sh|t. Symantec drops support for Mac products and shouldn't be supported by Mac users.

Anyone who thinks that Norton Antivirus is devoid of problems is not in touch with reality. And good luck if you decide to take it off your system; you will need to go to the Symantec site and hunt down a special file, download it, and then run it. Otherwise, NAV leaves its sticky fingers all over the place.

Why would anyone buy a .mac subscription just to get the virus software? The virus software is my least used benefit from the subscription anyway. As for a class action? I won't be joining in. The only winners in Class action suits are the Lawyers!! Besides, I have no beef against .Mac.
