Annoying registration scheme

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

The $10 isn't so bad, but the registration scheme really stinks. The installer goes out on the internet with your serial number and verifies with the master server that it's a valid serial number.

If you don't have internet access at the moment or you feel queasy about having your serial number and other privacy data passed around, you're out of luck. The documentation actually LIES when it says that VeloClock doesn't need the internet -- it does, to install properly.

This type of BS happens on Windows platforms, I'm sad to see it on the Mac platform.

That being said, it's a nice widget with a VERY BAD AUTHORIZATION SCHEME (and priced about $5 too much).
