From the StepWare/AceReader development team – Thank you Xiaopangzi for that heartfelt commentary. AceReader is obviously important to you and we feel honored. Please note that the Macintosh platform is definitely not forgotten! We just released version 2.8 which is a major release. Version 2.8 is free to all existing Macintosh AceReader Pro customers. We have plans for a second release later this year. We still have lots of exciting plans for AceReader. We want to thank our customers for their continued support. As usual, we welcome all comments and suggestions (support@stepware.com).

StepWare's response doesn't address any specifics in the critical appraisal of prior commentator...and it should. The post was not a rant, but a reasoned criticism by an obviously educated consumer very familiar with the product. As a Mac user, I think I have a right to know honest specifics regarding parity with a Windows version and, if parity isn't forthcoming very soon, why does the price remain equal between the two versions? An answer like, we care about Mac users and more goodies to come in the future doesn't cut it. I won't buy the product for my children until StepWare seriously addresses these issues.
