I could not agree more on Apple devising a way to at least give credit to those who paid for Qtime Pro for a year, only to have an update come out that essentially is highway robbery. I paid for QTime Pro last year in Sept or October, and only got 6 months out of that, for which the next 6 months on an annual fee cannot be applied to Quicktime 7 (which by the way I did not find out until after it downloaded using Software Update, for which, even though I later found out they had a 6.5.3 reinstaller available to reverse this) was done using my time, for which I DO PUT A VALUE ON!) To think that you would have to pay to have the download option availablel from any application in this day of technology is unbeleivable. Are you listening Apple?

Your old QuickTime 6 Pro Player will still work - nc_usa7
Actually, the QuickTime 6 Pro player still works under QuickTime 7 and Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger). Thus, all you need to do is perform a drag copy of your existing QuickTime 6 Pro player over to your current system and you'll have all of the features that were originally available from your previous Pro upgrade (the one you purchase six months ago). Thus, you've not really lost anything and the Pro player you previously purchased will still work.Friday, September 16 2005 @ 11:07 PM PDT
