There is no comparable utility for MacOSX (see application versions above for this version).
NONE.
I own Tech Tools Pro 4.04 and (sadly) Norton Utilities. I use ONLY DiskWarrior, long the most trusted Mac utility by the average Mac user or professional. Ask any pro tech what utility they use.
The method of being able to upgrade by building your own boot CD is found no where else in Mac software. And I don't install any OS, including Tiger, until I have a compatible version of DiskWarrior, CCC (still missing), and Photoshop. So Tiger is still on the back burner for me until a KNOWN backup, CCC, is available.

The Ultimate Mac Utility - Iain9
I'm a big fan of diskwarrior and am now looking at file recovery utilities since my daughter emptied the trash of a folder full of files that she needed and I found that OSX overwrites files rapidly and they are difficult to recover. My question is what's CCC?
Thanks
Iain
PS any recommendations/thoughts on data recycler etc. (it's had some negative reviews)

Super Duper works in Tiger. The developer has updated it and several people in the MacFixit forums report using it successfully. It is a worth alternative to CCC.Friday, June 24 2005 @ 01:06 PM PDT
